mail bounced, so here you go:
you can get the ax25 specs by mail from arrl or tapr.
send a msg with no subject and lines
HELP
INDEX
to info@arrl.org
or to file-request@tapr.org
a msg with no subject and the following lines:
HELP
that should you get some infos on how to use the mail-servers
and an index of files for the arrl. they both have the ax25
specs somewhere

I seem to remember seeing something here about an internet connected machine
that will forward email via packet radio. I tried looking back, but the
article(s) must have expired. Please e-mail me directly with any info you
might have. Thanks.

Well, I searched news.answers here and couldn't find anything, so ...
Does anyone have a list of Internet > Packet gateways? I use N0ARY, but
would like to find others closer to some other geographic locations.
Thanks in advance and best 73.

The mailing list is devoted to discussions of regional packet radio networking
issues.
To subscribe, send mail to listserv@tapr.org with "join netsig" as

I am trying to get my FT-5100 and the KPC-3 to work togeather from the
data jack. After building a cable the system receives alright but when
transmitting seems to be putting out a very weak signal at 50 watts.
Seems to be low audio. Anyone using this configuration who could provide
suggestions would be most welcome.

Yes, you can. Just use the monitor mode of the TNC. You're correct that
you will miss some packets but you should see plenty of activity!
